Grilled Avocados
Ingredients:
- Ripe avocados
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Optional toppings: lime juice, chili flakes, garlic powder, or
- fresh herbs
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Leave the skin on.
- Brush the cut sides of the avocados with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste on the cut sides of the avocados.
- Place the avocados cut-side down on the grill grates.
- Grill for about 2-3 minutes or until grill marks appear on the flesh side.
- Carefully flip the avocados using tongs or a spatula.
- Grill for another 2-3 minutes until the avocados are slightly softened.
- Remove the avocados from the grill and let them cool for a few minutes.
- If desired, squeeze lime juice over the grilled avocados and sprinkle with additional toppings such as chili flakes, garlic powder, or fresh herbs.
- Serve the grilled avocados as a side dish or use them as a topping for salads, tacos, or sandwiches.
